The Indiana aluminium baseplate is milled from hardened T6 6061 aluminium and is therefore very stable and rigid. Thanks to the slots, it weighs just 540 grams. The integrated zinc sacrificial anode prevents the aluminium from oxidising. The open ends of the plates allow the foil to be quickly mounted/removed from the board without having to completely loosen the screws. The screw spacing corresponds to the standard of 9cm. Before reassembling, be sure to coat all screws with a thin layer of Tef-Gel. This helps to prevent them from rusting or seizing!
