The 5'8" is 'everybodys darling'... Light riders pop onto the foil in a breeze of 8 knots (2-3 bft). Heavier riders have fun from 12 knots (3-4 bft). Thanks to the direct boardfeeling and the FCS straps, advanced riders have the possibility to do all their tricks and jumps. Like the rest of the shaka air boards, the 5'8" also pops out of the water very early due to the silicone rail on the tail and the slightly concave bottom shape on the foil. And it has a stiff, rigid feel thanks to the 20 psi double layer dropstich hull and the 70cm long 3K carbon foil box. The board can be used without footstraps as the footstrap plugs are located underneath the deckpad. And with footstraps it does all turns, tricks and jumps. The shaka air can be packed into a small backpack, which offers space for foil and wing(s). But thanks to the high-quality workmanship, you can also leave it inflated for the whole season. For whom? FOILBOXTogether with the factory we have developed a foil box plate that is not only super stiff but also very well glued and welded to your board. The foil box weighs 2kg and is made of 3K carbon . It is 70cm long, connects the back foot to the front foot and is very wide to give a real rail-to- rail feeling when carving and jibbing. The box has a built-in handle and a cm indicator next to the plate to easily remember where the foil has been mounted.
SILICONE RAILThe shaka air respondsvery well to the foil when it is lifted out of the water. This is also helped by the silicone rail on the tail, which prevents the board from "sticking" to the water when it is lifted out.LET'S GO INTO DETAIL The 135 litre volume and the slightly square nose provide stability when riding/planing, which is a big advantage in the early stages. The square nose also means that the rails arestraighter and longer , which leads to more speed and directional stability when riding/planing. This creates a faster water flow under the foil, which is a prerequisite for the foil to take off. When you stand on the board, your feet are on the eva- deckpad and not on the cut-out strip. The strip is there so that the board can be easily folded into a compact size and fit into a small rucksack. The lightweight and comfortable foot straps are made by the FCS factory and fitted in perfect position. Depending on the foot size, the height can be adjusted. When the footstraps are not mounted, the footstrap plugs do not press into the feet or knees, as they are located under the eva- deckpad. The Leashring is designed to be very robust for your safety. The position of the box on the underwater hull is perfectly placed, with enough clearance so that any type of foil can be used. Also in combination with the footstrap position, the right foil position can always be found. The shape of the foil box is very smoothly integrated into the board and helps to pop out of the water very early. The shaka air has a raised nose- rocker, so that the nose does not touch the water when jibing. The siderails are made of 3 layers of PVC for durability. The double layer hull is made of woven dropstich, which can be inflated up to 20 psi and is extremely stiff, so a 12 cm thick board is stiff enough and floats much more stable than a 15 cm thick board. The stability makes it easier to learn to foil.

The 6'4 "er is the ultimate board for beginners and intermediates. With a width of 83 cm (33") and a volume of 155 litres, it floats stable enough to go back and forth with a wing in your hand. When you're ready, it lifts easily to the foil. The extra rocker on the nose prevents falls and lets you land softer. And as you progress more and more, you can ride with loops to learn turns and make small jumps. No wind? Then chill on it as a family fun/paddle board. Like the rest of the shaka air boards, the 6'4 "er pops out of the water very early due to the silicone rail at tail and the slightly concave bottom shape to the foil. And it has a stiff, rigid feel thanks to the 20 psi double layer dropstich hull and the 70cm long 3K carbon foil box. Balanced designRigid grips made of carbon, covered with neopreneCompact shape Great low wind power Window Harness line attachment pointSlanted leech that does not flap around thanks to mini battensReinforced material where the handles are joined and where the wing rests when lying on the land Soft centre handle for 1-handed swingingUses a normal iSUP valve, any iSUP pump will fitStrong bladder on the inside Complete set with handleash, repair material, manual and bag In 4, 5 and 6 m2The same features that make it easy for beginners to learn, make it easy for advanced riders to progress. Compact shape, well-balanced design and rigid handles. The session is everyone's favourite. Great for beginners as the rigid handles and great low wind power make it easy to pump you up to the foil and the wing very direct to control. The compact shape prevents the wing tips from "chopping" on the water when trying to pump up from drifting to the foil (and top for smaller riders). Robust and reinforced to prevent damage on first sessions. The soft centre grip between the 2 carbon handles helps you catch your wing and saves your gybe. More fun, less falling down! Professionals use the grip for one-handed moves. As you progress and do more advanced moves, spinning and jumping, the rigid handles and ultra-compact shape will help you with all these moves. Meanwhile you will also appreciate the extremely good handling in gibes, tacks and 36o moves.
