AUSTRALIAN PINE 0.6 MM BACKBOARD.
- Along the underside of the board, in front of the fin box, this part of the skin is stretched, compressed and twisted as the board moves across the water at speed. The 0.6 mm thick Australian pine is equally stiff in all directions and is the ideal material to achieve a rigid hull shape.
45 DEGREE CONTINUOUS FIBRES
- starboard's starlite differs from the traditional construction in this market segment by using continuous biaxial glass fibres instead of short, cut glass fibres. Each fibre works continuously along its entire length to ensure rigidity. It's like comparing spaghetti to macaroni: Straight strands of spaghetti are more effective at stiffening a board. Starlite Boards are stiff at a 45-degree angle, yet flexible and reflexive: for performance and comfort.
EPS CORE - 15.5G/CM³.
- Shear resistant, fused and individually moulded for each starboard- board to ensure high strength with minimum weight. With our moulded core technology, there is no EPS waste.
