Any company can make a lightweight harness. At ride engine we're not just any company - we're the inventor of the hard shell harness and we're proud to introduce the Lyte Curv® harness, which offers uncompromising lightweight performance while weighing under 1kg. The ingenious Curv® composite material we use is not only lightweight - its high tensile strength allows the shell to retain the Lumbar Lock shape scientifically developed by ride engine, which is renowned for preventing the harness from lifting and twisting against the body. Equipped with Direct Connection or Webbing Connection, the Lyte Curv connects directly to our Unity Spreader Bar, completely preventing slippage and twisting of the Spreader Bar. In addition, the Lyte Curv is the ultimate lightweight travel harness, featuring our Cell-Lock foam: thermoformed, closed-cell foam laminated with lycra to virtually eliminate water absorption and keep the harness lightweight no matter how long your session.

LIGHTWEIGHT CURV® HARD SHELL
- A next-generation composite generation, providing a stiff, durable and strong hardshell harness at an unrivalled weight (less than 1kg for size medium).
UNITY SPREADER WEBBING CONNECTION
- Our unique "set it and forget it" spreader bar system that creates a solid, stable connection. The Unity Spreader Bar features an ingenious design that uses specially shaped ladder lock straps, eliminating the need for traditional webbing and providing an unmatched locked fit. If you choose the webbing version, our Unity Spreader Bar can also be used with an old style webbing lock spreader bar if desired.
CELL-LOCK FOAM
- The lycra laminate on the inside of the foam minimises water penetration, keeping the harness light in use and giving you all day comfort in your swim trunks or wetsuit.
LUMBAR LOCK
- The Lumbar Lock is a scientifically underpinned shape, developed from more than 1,000 custom moulds, that conforms to the lumbar, back and sides to securely lock the harness in place. This improved ergonomics ensures you get the maximum support from your harness - no more slipping your harness from side to side or riding up.
LOW PROFILE DESIGN
- The low-profile frame ensures a perfect fit and maximum freedom of movement, while keeping the harness in place and avoiding pressure points.
LINE ATTACHMENT AT THE HANDLE AND FRONT
- For freestyle riders, the harness is equipped with a handle-pass leash attachment on the back (which can be easily removed for windsurfing). It also has two line attachments at the front when a short line is used.
INTERNAL HIP BELT
- An internal, easy-close hip belt ensures a secure fit and simple donning and adjustment.
HOOK KNIFE POCKET
- Easily accessible pocket for a hook knife.
