The GLIDE surf carbon from neil pryde offers improved manoeuvrability thanks to the reduced chord length of the profile and the ability to lean more in the turns thanks to the longer mast. The GLIDE surf carbon comes in a heavy duty but lightweight construction as we have integrated the adapter plate and mast into a single carbon fibre component, which is the best connection for your surf- and sup boards.
Features:
CONSTRUCTION
- All foils are supplied with a T-40 Torx drive and are fitted with titanium coated stainless steel bolts to ensure the best strength to weight ratio and avoid corrosion issues.
FUSELAGE
- Perfectly matched connection between wing and CNC-machined fuselage and integrated wind saddle for minimum drag. The newly developed V-shaped mounting hole allows the connection between mast and fuselage to become tighter the further the mast is screwed into the fuselage, resulting in the tightest possible connection between mast and fuselage. The volume and weight of the aluminium used in the hull are reduced by eliminating the nose projecting forward.
MAST
85cm Carbon mast.
- Optimised for weight and stiffness. The male hull joint is V-tapered to allow the mast to clamp into the hull joint with each turn of the screw, exponentially increasing the stiffness of the joint when the mast is clamped into the hull.
- The moulded surf-plate joint ensures the stiffest possible connection to the board.
WINGS
- The wings of the GLIDE are made of pre-impregnated carbon with internal foam construction for maximum durability to weight ratio. This setup provides a natural tendency to roll into turns while maintaining good balance.
- The sophisticated design of the front wing allows the Glide foil HP range to achieve incredible top speed while remaining very manoeuvrable. On the wave, the Glide surf allows you to fly through sections and transition from straight-line riding to progressive foil turns.
