- The Mono Button Mast Foot and Extension System (MXT) is used by most sailors on the PWA TOUR and is designed to provide a secure, durable connection and ease of use. The MXT extensions are fully integrated into the stainless steel bottom assembly and provide an optimum balance between weight and rigidity, resulting in very light but also very strong extensions. Weight has been reduced by eliminating all unnecessary plastics, while the cross-section of the stainless steel parts has been increased for greater strength. This part can now withstand a load of over 900 kg on the downhaul - twice as much as the largest racing sails. The special geometry with tiltable lower pulley allows perfect alignment of sail pulley and ropes. This allows the sail to be driven all the way down (block-to-block) and reduces friction when hauling down.
