The Sonar 1500R is a true crossover wing with real performance in every foiling discipline. It is so stable that you will feel like you are standing on the ground. The 1500R is great for prone foil surfing in medium to big waves, has a smooth carvy feel and fits nicely in your pocket. Its predictable buoyancy gives you time to find a comfortable stance without having to fight to keep the nose down when accelerating the foil. This allows you to stay in the same position throughout the speed range. The balance of the foil system means you can place your back foot further behind the mast, allowing you to ride the board more like a shortboard. Our new patent-pending reflexed-camber foil design gives the wing pitch stability and prevents the board's tendency to pitch up sharply on initial take-off. This means you don't have to change your position to trim the board when going faster or diving into a wave. The Sonar Reflex wings have a relatively large surface area, which makes them very controllable and gives incredible roll and pitch stability. Normally, a large wing means more drag and therefore less speed. However, because you can position reflex wings with a lower angle of attack on the fuselage, they feel smaller than they are in terms of their speed range and responsiveness. A Reflex wing gives you impressive control over the entire speed range, with extreme top speeds unimaginable for a wing of this size.
