For dedicated surfing and hooked-in riding, the standard chicken loop is a chunky component that creates distance between your core and the bar, limiting your throw and depower. The Talon is a slingshot-specific component that replaces the chicken loop with a much smaller stainless steel bar. This brings the bar a few inches closer to your waist, which in turn gives you a few inches more throwing distance and reach above the bar. Combined with the sliding rope spreader bar from ride engine, this setup gives you extra freedom of movement, range of motion and kite control. In addition to the extra performance, the Talon gives you maximum safety against unintentional unhooking.
