This relay allows simultaneous charging of two batteries with only one alternator. When the engine is started, the voltage-sensitive relay remains open until the starter battery reaches 13.7 / 27 V. Now the relay closes the contact and charges both batteries simultaneously. When the engine is stopped and the voltage drops below 12.8 / 25.2 V, the voltage-sensitive relay opens the contact and separates the two batteries so that the wrong battery is not discharged and to avoid damaging current peaks when the engine is started. The starter battery is protected from discharge by the on-board electrical equipment. No voltage loss. No current consumption in stand-by. Easy installation without changing the wiring of the alternator. Automatically switches from 12 to 24 V.
