Wetsuits are available in different thicknesses to suit the conditions. To make it easier for you to buy the right equipment, we have summarised them in a simple table.

Apr-Jun + Nov-Mar - Cold water and cold outside temperatures
- For water sports where it is quite normal to fall into the water, such as windsurfing, kitesurfing, wingsurfing, waterskiing, etc., we prefer a 5 or 6 mm wetsuit. They are and stay warm when you fall into the water. They are robust if you make a crash landing.
- We also wear 5mm neoprene shoes (unisex)/ gloves (unisex).
Jun-Sep - Warm water and warm outside temperatures
- In summer with warm water we prefer to wear only a boardshort.
- To protect against sunburn, we wear a lycra, which is a UV-resistant shirt that dries easily.
- We also wear thin 3 mm neoprene shoes.
- Some lakes still have cold water. A 3 mm wetsuit is suitable. not 5 mm because the outside temperature is too high.
Sep-Oct - Cooling of the water and warm outside temperatures
- Then the weather can be great, but the water cold. The problem is that if you fall in, you could catch a cold the next day. That's why we prefer a 4 mm thin wetsuit. You don't sweat as much in a thin suit and you are and feel protected.
- We also wear neoprene shoes.
